Diane grew up in Sioux Falls, but has enjoyed living in Mitchell for 25 years. Diane received all of her nursing degrees from South Dakota State Univeristy. She worked at McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD as a pediatric nurse. Diane also taught nursing at SDSU and Huron University. Diane has two graduate degrees, one in pediatrics and womens' health, and the other is a family nurse practitioner degree. She began her career as a nurse practitioner in 1995. Originally from Hitchcock, SD, Alahna earned a BS in Biology from SDSU and a nursing degree from Augustana College. She worked on the cancer care floor at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, and then as a travel nurse in St Louis and in Houston. Alahna returned to SD and earned her nurse practitioner degree at SDSU in 2011. After working in Minneapolis and for eight years in the state of Washington for the VA and Department of Defense, she returned to SD to live near family. Alahna approaches health care on a personal level, and feels healthcare should be a partnership and a consultant-based relationship. Communication and relationship are what Alahna strives for in her practice. We would love for you to come in and partner with Alahna on your health journey.
